Moroccan riads ‘guesthouses’ have to collect 2 taxes upon their guests:
- Tourism Promotion Tax (TPT): the amount of the tax depends on the riad category, 20.00 dirhams per people per night for La Sultana Oualidia. That tax is collected by the riads and integrally put back into Morocco National Tourist Office.
- City Tax (from January 2008): like the hotels and restaurants, ‘guesthouses’ must now collect the City tax. The amount of the City tax is 20.00 dirhams per people (older than 12 y-o) and per night for La Sultana Oualidia.
Reservation and cancellation policies of the riad
In the event of a reservation cancellation, the Sultana Oualidia will apply the following cancellation policy and will charge any applicable fees to the client credit card used during the reservation process :
-Cancellations received 0-1 days before the confirmed arrival date are subject to a cancellation fee of 100 % of total projected room costs.
-Cancellations received 2-7 days before the confirmed arrival date are subject to a cancellation fee of 70 % of total projected room costs.
-Cancellations received 8-15 days before the confirmed arrival date are subject to a cancellation fee of 50 % of total projected room costs.
Cancellations received 16-Day of confirmation day before the confirmed arrival date are subject to a cancellation fee of 20 % of total projected room costs.
* is considered as a no-show, any client who didn’t arrive before 7.00 am the day following his forecasted arrival.
For Christmas and new year’s bookings every cancellation made 16 days before arrival : 50% of the total price will be charged on the customers’ credit card by the property.
15 Days before the arrival date or no-show : 100 % of the total price will be charged on the customers’ credit card by the property
